Earlier, CBI sources mentioned that the test would be administered by a team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
Kolkata: On Monday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) wrapped up a second round of polygraph tests on Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital (RGKMCH), as part of their investigation into the rape and murder of a female doctor at the institution. Previously, CBI sources had indicated that the tests would be administered by a team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
Additionally, CBI officials had earlier conducted a polygraph test on Sanjay Roy, one of the arrested suspects in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, on August 25, the anti-corruption branch of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at several locations related to Sandip Ghosh and his relatives in Kolkata, West Bengal. The CBI had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Dr. Sandip Ghosh on August 24, following directives from the Calcutta High Court.
The investigation was prompted by a single bench of the High Court ordering the CBI to look into the alleged corruption at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
The Calcutta High Court has given the CBI three weeks to submit a progress report on the investigation, with a deadline set for September 17.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court directed that security at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital be transferred to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) while hearing a suo motu case related to the incident.
